Latin-jazz quintet Bye-Ya! released their 3rd cd! The new cd ‘Further Arrivals’ will be presented at the Bimhuis on March 24th.
Bye-Ya! was founded in 1999 by percussionist Jens Kerkhoff and bassist Mick Paauwe, featuring Randal Corsen on piano. The group previously released two critically acclaimed cd’s: the self-titled album in 2001, and ‘Dos’ in 2003 (both on A-records). Jens, Mick and Randal recently reunited, joined by drummer Enrique Firpi and Grammy award winning trumpet player Brian Lynch, to record a new CD. This CD will feature two compositions by Randal, as well as some compositions by Brian Lynch.
